Congratulations to Melanie Schörg. The 2016 Joe Zawinul Spirit Award Winner. The Spirit Award is given out every 2 years, and it’s given to a student who has tried out for the Z Award competition multiple times. Last year Melanie entered the Z award competition, but was not able to win the award. But that did not discourage her. Melanie continued her education in music and showed vast improvement in her skills and talents on the guitar as well as singing.
