The Zawinul Foundation for Achievement would like to extend a hearty congratulations to this year’s winner of the 2014 US recipient of the International Music Student Exchange Program.
Jamael Dean
Jamael Dean exhibits a remarkable skill when steps behind a piano, and it’s that skill that has set him apart from other musical students his age. Jamael has an everlasting love to play the jazz piano, and to understand every technique he can to perfect his craft.
Along with the award, Jamael will be given the opportunity to visit Austria for 10 days beginning on June 14th. While in Austria Jamael will receive musical education from the Joe Zawinul Musikschule. Jamael will also be taken around Austria, so he can learn the history and culture of Joe Zawinuls’ birthplace.
